Agerpoint Awarded as Technology Pioneer by World Economic Forum

Research Triangle, NC, USA, 10 May 2022 – Agerpoint, a North Carolina-based deep technology company, was selected among hundreds of candidates as one of the World Economic Forum’s “Technology Pioneers”. Agerpoint develops technologies to digitize, analyze and comprehend plants, crops and forests. The company’s software accepts data from multiple sources, organizes spatial data, models and insights to create plant digital twins. Data streams are used by growers, researchers, conservationists and enterprises to replace manual measurements to more accurately estimate yield, identify disease and stressors, calculate carbon sequestration potential and monitor plant health.

The World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers are early to growth-stage companies from around the world that are involved in the use of new technologies and innovation that are poised to have a significant impact on business and society.

With their selection as Technology Pioneer, CEO Kevin Lang of Agerpoint will be invited to participate at World Economic Forum activities, events and discussions throughout the year. Agerpoint will also contribute to Forum initiatives over the next two years, working with global leaders to help address key industry and societal issues.

“We’re excited to welcome Agerpoint to our 2022 cohort of Technology Pioneers,” says Saemoon Yoon, Community Lead, Technology Pioneers, World Economic Forum. “Agerpoint and its fellow pioneers are at the forefront of industries that are critical to solving some of our world’s most complex issues today.
