Jon Cotton

Jon has worked in cloud operations for the past 13 years and was a software engineer before that. The many hats of "cloud ops" include gluing together platform systems, deploying software to them, monitoring their health, configuring scalable infrastructure, securing, troubleshooting, then rinse and repeat as hosted offerings, ecosystems and business needs evolve.

Jon has worked in mobile software, ad tech, financial tech, drone software, and nonprofit journalism. His most recent endeavor before Agerpoint was in the future realm of cloud-connected, quantum computing.

Before all that, Jon worked as a weather observer and as a sort of park ranger. His longest continuous hike was 550 miles past a surprising number of "sheep lakes" and he feels quite overdue for another such jaunt. Living in Colorado offers plenty of opportunity to continue that love of being outdoors in the mountains.
